Virlanie’s Giving Tree at The Giving Town

What can you do to make someone smile this Christmas?

This is the question that participants of Virlanie’s giving tree answered during The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf’s The Giving Town last October 21 and 22, 2016 at Greenbelt. After writing on the paper, they attached it to a Craft a Smile decoration (Virlanie beneficiaries’ handmade products) and put it on the giving tree.

Participants were also given an opportunity to join a raffle where they could win a Craft a Smile accessories or bag. The booth also served as a donation space for people who donated any amount for Virlanie’s non-formal education campaign, Give2Achieve. They gave a total amount of PHP 13,000 for street children, young adults and street mothers’ non-formal education. Virlanie is among the partner organizations of Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf who were given an avenue to raise public awareness on their advocacies. It is in this event that they also unveiled their Giving Journal 2017.

A big thanks to everyone who participated on Virlanie’s booth and The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf for the wonderful partnership.
