Virlanie at the Skills Partnership Summit 2022

Last October 12, 2022, YouthWorks PH under PBED and USAID organized the Skills Partnership Summit 2022 at Shangri-la Hotel, BGC, Taguig City.

Skills Partnership Summit 2022 is YouthWorks PH’s first-ever partners ‘celebration from all over the country in supporting skills development of the Filipino youth. The program is also launching a P54-million partnership agreement with industry giants and tech startups to providing training opportunities to over a thousand Filipino youth not in education, employment, or training (NEET).

Jeffrey represents Virlanie Foundation as one of the beneficiaries of the Independent Living Program, currently the Vice-President of The Rising Youth, and one of the trainees of this program.
During the open forum, he said, “I am blessed to be part of this program, and I’m very thankful for all the opportunities they are giving me.”

Virlanie Foundation partnered with YouthWorks PH to provide work-based training for the youth and help them become productive and employable.

Who is Jeffrey?

Jeffrey is fondly called “Biboy” by his house parents, teachers and co-beneficiaries in Virlanie Foundation. He entered in Virlanie Foundation at the age of 6 as a Residential Program beneficiary. Biboy grew up in the foundation carrying all the values and skills he learned over the years. He was grateful that he was given a loving home and surrounded by people who push him to be a better person. Now, he is working as a line cook in a cloud restaurant and planning to purse his dream to be a chef in a cruise ship soon.
