Sama-samang Paskuhan ng Pamilya: A Christmas celebration of togetherness in Virlanie’s communities

Our communities from Ilead Open Day Center for Education and Training (ODC-ET) in Quiapo, Manila and Bagong Silangan, Quezon City had a meaningful holiday celebration through their Christmas parties held last December 21 and 22 respectively.

Assisted families and sponsored children from the communities got together in the spirit of bayanihan to prepare and make the festivities possible. In line with the theme “Sama-samang Paskuhan (celebrating Christmas together)”, they shared a filling meal prepared by our assisted mothers in both communities and fulfilling bonding experience with each other through party games and lucky raffle draws.

Apart from exchanging gifts, Dusit Thani Philippines and Henkel Asia Pacific Service Center Philippines donated noche buena packages and boxes school supplies respectively to the families and children. Bench gift bags were also given to our sponsored children in both communities.

All in all, the families and children in our assisted communities were able to share a joyful early Christmas celebration together. See the photos below for a glimpse of the festivities last Friday and Saturday:

You have helped make this possible through supporting A Virlanie Christmas (AVC)! It’s never too late to make the holidays and incoming year more hopeful for our assisted families in poor communities. Find out how you can continue to support AVC here: http://virlanie.org/avc
