King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) has partnered with Virlanie Foundation, Inc. to reach more people globally and encourage them to help Filipino children. KBF is set to fundraise for Virlanie. The collected funds will be supporting all pillars of Virlanie, such as community, street, residential, health, education, integration, and advocacy.
KBF strengthens organizations that are actively involved in developing the communities they operate. Its mission is “to enable thoughtful and effective giving for charitable projects.” Through its website, KBF allows organizations from different developing countries including the Philippines to share their advocacies internationally. It is based in Brussels, Belgium, and is known as one of the largest foundations in Europe.
Because Virlanie fits in their criteria for partnered organization, Daniel Maheux, President of Virlanie Quebec shared Virlanie’s cause to Benoît Fontaine, the Executive Director of KBF and eventually initiated partnership to continue help marginalized sectors and now establish a connection to support Filipino children. The criteria include: having a clear and concrete impact, measured using success indicators and minimized management fees with 95% of the money raised for the projects goes directly to the charitable activities.
To be effectively known as a partner, KBF puts Virlanie and its information on their website, so the donors and sponsors will know Virlanie’s background and can donate easily. See here: https://bit.ly/2mgQkqa
