Germany’s Mixed Voices raise funds for Virlanie Children

Last February 26, The « Mixed Voices » a German choir funded in 2019 generously donated the sum of 300,000 PHP to Virlanie Foundation, Inc.

Mixed Voices is a group of 32 ambitious singers which gets together once a month every Sundays afternoon to rehearse for a concert tour set to happen in the coming year.

This generous endeavour began last January when a group organised a fundraising concert through a partnership with the « UP Manila Chorale » of the University of the Philippines.

They decided to donate the money from the concert to Virlanie as they felt a kinship towards Virlanie in terms of sharing the same values of expressing emotions and hope through music as done by our own choir « Virlanie Voices ».

Mixed Voices took the opportunity of their visit to the Philippines to donate in person the sum collected through their fundraising efforts.

The Virlanie Voices put on a special presentation at the SiBuHi center to show gratitude towards the support and generosity of the guests to the entire Virlanie organisation.

The representatives of Mixed Voices were delighted and happily surprised by the heartfelt performance of the Virlanie children who even made an effort to sing a few songs in German in honor of the guests.

One of the representatives took the opportunity to say a few words :

« I’m thankful for the warm welcome at Virlanie and I’m happy to see that the children can express themselves and thrive through the power of music which is something that we are always advocating for. »

We would like to reiterate our thanks to the Mixed Voices of Germany for their generous efforts to raise money and help give back the smile to the street children of Virlanie.
