R U OK ? A Health Awareness Webinar

Last June 24, 2022, Virlanie Foundation conducted a health awareness webinar with the theme: R U OK?

R U OK? is a virtual event that provides glimpse of Virlanie’s Health services like medical, dental, psychological support and more.

This is also part of Operation Kalinga (O.K.) campaign which aims to reduce, if not eliminate, the risk of serious illness and fatality for all the beneficiaries of the foundation. Furthermore, it extends the opportunity toward sustainable philanthropic efforts that can sustain the health services and other wellness programs of the foundation to its beneficiaries.

Virlanie Foundation invited three powerful speakers as the highlight of the event:

  1. Ms. Johanna Erroba, UNDP Youth Coordinator with a topic “Youth’s well-being and change-making during COVID crisis”. According to her, “It is really important to introduce entrepreneurship to young people because it is one of the many ways to help them become change makers or agents of change”.
  1. Ms. Margarette May Ga, EdB, RN, University of Makati Full-time Associate Professor shared her thoughts about “Taking Care of Self; Gabay at Kahalagahan sa Pag-aalaga sa Sarili” with her selected nursing students. They imparted that “We should focus on our shared vision of focusing the development of effective health education to all ages across life span”.
  2. Ms. Valerie Anne Fernando, Virlanie Health Services Group Coordinator spoke about her topic “Current Situation of the children during this time of Pandemic”. She quoted that “It is important that we acknowledge what we are feeling and what we are experiencing both for the positive and negative and to continue practicing self-care”.

The program ended by a video presentation about Health Services and the current health situation on streets and communities and a call-to-action presentation to our supporters by the Officer-in-Charge of Virlanie’s Resource Development Department, Mr. Jerryl Cuneta.
