A Night of Music and Smiles

Before their 4th European Tour this April, our very own Virlanie Voices will showcase their enchanting voices with a send-off concert at the College of Saint Benilde – School of Design and Arts (CSB-SDA) Theater this coming March 17th. The concert will be launching the choir for their European tour and participation in the upcoming Montreux Chorale Festival.

Street Children’s Voices

Virlanie Voices was formed in 2004 to sing during the benefit dinner in honor of Princess Caroline of Hanover’s visit in the country. Since then, it has been part of Virlanie’s Sining, Buhay, Hilom (SiBuHi) Center for Creativity and Development as one of the avenues where children from challenging backgrounds can hone their talent and passion in performing.

The choir stands as the voice of street children who are among the most silenced population in society. Through Virlanie Voices, these children are given opportunities to reach their full potentials, grow as confident individuals, and express their emotions and feelings.

These children serve as inspiration for other children who face strife in their daily lives but dream big for a brighter future.

Virlanie’s Ambassadors

This year, they will be competing in the 54th Montreux Chorale Festival in Switzerland. Virlanie Voices will echo the sound of hope, joy, and love as they sing their hearts out alongside chorale groups from other countries and represent the country by showcasing Philippine culture as they perform folk songs in their performances.

Virlanie Voices has represented the Foundation internationally through its past three tours across France and Europe, particularly in Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland, where Virlanie also has numerous supporters from. The choir serves as ambassadors of Virlanie to the world, performing passionately and wholeheartedly to speak out for street children whose voices are silenced by their situations. Their concert this year will span 5 European countries (France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland)

Around 300 guests will be invited to join us for a night of music and gratitude as we send off Virlanie Voices on their journey to Europe this year!
