Virlanie Foundation celebrated 124th Philippines Independence Day

The children at Virlanie Foundation’s Residential Program celebrated the 124th Philippines Independence Day virtually last June 17, 2022, with the theme: “Piliin ang Pilipinas!”.

The program started with the welcome message by our founder, Mr. Dominique Lemay. He said, “the activities like this are really good and will help the children especially in this time of pandemic”.

Each residential homes prepared and recorded their performance dance celebrations which showcased different festivities such as Panagbenga, Kadayawan, Hermosa, Maskara, Sinulog and Pahiyas Festival.

All sported colorful costumes and their wonderful performance exhibited the rich culture and pay homage to the history of the Philippines. It was really a great way to tell the story said by Ms. Czarina Allen Santos, Virlanie’s Resource Development Officer and one of the judges.

Moreover, Mr. Alvin Arnecilla, the Sponsorship Officer also commented that seeing their performances, reminds him the beautiful and different places in the Philippines like Baguio, Quezon, Cebu, Davao and more.

Hats off to the hard work and dedication of the Education Services, who organized the event led by Ms. Sofia Dolly Alejandro, Lead Coordinator.
