Virlanie holds first Family of Smiles Reunion for supporters

While Virlanie Foundation, Inc. has its Christmas campaign on going, it held its first A Virlanie Christmas Noche Buena: Family of Smiles Reunion at Cool Beans Library Café in Maginhawa, Quezon City this December 8, 2017. The event served as a gratitude to the continuous support of donors, sponsors, and media partners for the foundation.

The Family of Smiles Reunion is an event organized by Virlanie as an avenue for our supporters to interact with the children they support. Free meals and drinks were provided throughout the event, and special performances were given by Megumi Alcala, a guest local musician and our very own, young adults.

Lawrence Baslote, a graduate of University of the Philippines Los Bañoz and a former Virlanie beneficiary, also gave his testimony on how the foundation’s sponsorship program had helped him towards achieving educational success.

The Sponsorship Program entails giving a specific amount of money every month per child, home, or community as support mainly for their education and basic needs. Moreover, it aims at building a unique relationship between sponsors and children sponsored through encounters and personal letter exchange.

Virlanie currently has 600 sponsors: 126 homes and programs sponsors and 474 children’s sponsors. Among the 338 sponsored children: 131 from the foundation’s residential program, 119 from the support program, and 88 from the family program. Additionally, Virlanie also currently has 171 individual donors.

The Individual Donor Relations Program, on the other hand, focuses on fostering long-term engagement, relationship, and interaction between individual or group of donors and the organization through either one-time giving and in-kind donations.

Thank you all for your precious support!
